Former Red Sox pitcher Bill Lee is a lefty and a leftist. The free spirit known as “Spaceman’’ was at Sox spring training on St. Patrick’s Day and wore his politics on his sleeve. Lee, who’s got long white hair and a goatee these days, was wearing a green T-shirt that said “Castro’’ on the front and “Fidel’’ on the back. The number? 59, of course, the year Castro was sworn in as prime minister of Cuba.
