Jacque and Terry Francona doubtless have had more on their minds than the crash landing of the 2011 Red Sox season. Last March, as the Sox were still at spring training, their only son, Nick, was deployed to Afghanistan. A Marine lieutenant, he commanded a sniper platoon. Francona will speak at Northeastern University tomorrow to school nurses as part of her volunteer work with a nonprofit called Home Base, which provides services to veterans and their families.
