Red Sox at the halfway point

Looking for Dr. Grit and Mr. Intensity No matter how you slice it, it's been a down half for Red Sox mainstays Dustin Pedroia (left) and Kevin Youkilis. Often thought of as the heart and soul of the team, the dynamic duo has been slow to come back from injury-riddled seasons in 2010. Youkilis was batting just .269 with 11 homers and 55 RBIs before taking a foul ball off his left foot in Philadelphia. His defense since moving from first to third has been spotty. Pedroia is batting .272 with just 7 home runs, 35 RBIs, and a .786 OPS through June.
