Red Sox at the halfway point

Jonathan Papelbon's farewell tour in Boston? There haven't been a whole lot of high-pressure save situations for Jonathan Papelbon, who is in the last year of his Red Sox contract. Papelbon may end up with the fewest number of saves in his career, and the rest of the numbers are a mixed bag. Papelbon has 41 strikeouts to go with just 6 walks in 30.2 innings this season. But the 30-year-old righthander has a 3.82 ERA (2.35 career average). Papelbon looks light years better than last season, when he blew eight saves and ended the season with a 3.90 ERA,.
