Itís currently pouring at Fenway Park (as of 3:43 p.m.), and high winds are making things even messier in the Greater Boston area.

The current forecast calls for the winds to diminish early this evening but periodic showers are possible until midnight. This part of the forecast is of particular concern to Red Sox Nation because the Sox are scheduled to meet the Blue Jays at Fenway Park at 7:05 p.m.

The National Weather Service said the nasty weather was a prelude
to a cold front also crossing the area and it was expected by evening there will be readings in the low 40s, which will be 30 degrees fewer than mid-70s temperatures in many places at mid-day.

If you're heading to Fenway tonight, better bring your parka.

With the Yankees scheduled to come to town tomorrow, you can bet the team will do everything in its power to try to get this one in tonight, even if the starting time gets pushed back a couple hours.

If the Red Sox make any announcement on tonightís game, weíll post it here.
