Mirabelli in lineup

By Eric Wilbur, Boston.com Staff

Newly acquired Doug Mirabelli -- who this afternoon was flying in from the West Coast to make the game -- has been officially penciled into the Red Sox' lineup tonight.

Alex Cora is also starting instead of Alex Gonzalez at shortstop, and Wily Mo Pena is in center field.

For the Yankees, the injured Gary Sheffield is sitting this one out.

Stick with us throughout the night for updates from Johnny Damon's return to Fenway Park. Terry Francona will speak with the media at 3:45 p.m. and Damon will talk at 4:15 p.m. We'll have updates from both news conferences.
