He's a homer

By Eric Wilbur, Boston.com Staff

Bernie Williams took Josh Beckett deep in the second inning, the 32nd home run Beckett has allowed this season. Just six more homers allowed will tie him with Tim Wakefield for the club record. Wakefield allowed 38 home runs in 1996.

Beckett still has a ways to catch the major league record 50 that Bert Blyleven allowed with the Twins in 1986.
