By David Lefort, Boston.com Staff
The Red Sox today confirmed their trade for Blue Jays infielder/outfielder Eric Hinske, which was first reported last night.
Hinske is expected to join the Red Sox for Friday's day-night doubleheader with the Yankees at Fenway Park. He will wear uniform No. 12.
The Red Sox said they will make a corresponding roster move to accommodate Hinske once he reports.
