Ortiz admitted to hospital

The Red Sox have releasd the following statement:

"David Ortiz returned to Boston this evening and was admitted to Massachusetts General Hospital where he will undergo further evaluation. More information will be released as it becomes available."

Ortiz is expected to undergo a battery of tests to determine the cause of his irregular heart beat.
