Dustin Pedroia should be in Anaheim, Calif., tonight with the Red Sox, with Alex Gonzalez expected to go on the disabled list with a Grade 1 oblique strain. Pedroia could make his major league debut as soon as tonight, according to a source familiar with the situation.

He was pulled from the PawSox' first game of their doubleheader in Ottawa last night after two at bats, and did not play for the PawSox in their second game.

Pedroia has played both shortstop and second base regularly for Pawtucket, with a few games at third base thrown in when Mike Lowell was down after fouling a ball off his foot. Pedroia is batting .305 with 50 RBI and 30 doubles in 111 games with the PawSox.
