Terry Francona, who had been hospitalized in California for several days this week with an infection in his left foot, has been discharged from the hospital and was flying home today.
"It's frustrating,'' Francona told my colleague Nick Cafardo before he left. "But this isn't anything. I think the reason I'm in the hospital is because I'm away from home so they feel the best thing is to keep me here on IV's and the medicine until I'm ready to fly home."
