Sox tickets on sale

Get your computer and telephone ready for action because the Red Sox are putting the bulk of the tickets for the 2007 home games on sale this weekend.

Single-game Sox tickets will go on sale Saturday Jan. 27 at 10 a.m. at RedSox.com and via the phone at 617-482-4SOX.

Fans will be allowed to purchase a maximum of eight tickets per person.

The Sox will also hold random drawings for Opening Day (Tuesday, April 10 vs. Seattle), Patriots Day (Monday, April 16 vs. the Angels), the nine Fenway games against the Yankees, and all tickets for Green Monster and right field roof deck seats.

Details for the random drawings will be announced next week. Tickets will go on sale at the Fenway Park box office on a date to be determined in February. In December, the Red Sox put select single games and Sox Pax tickets on sale during the Christmas at Fenway event.

"We continue to be humbled and amazed by the record-setting commitment and support of our fans," said Red Sox president Larry Lucchino in a team press release. "That demand fuels our search for new ways to assure that as many regular fans and baseball-loving families can enjoy the experience at Fenway Park as possible. That's why we continue to develop new methods of fair distribution."

2007 ticket prices for single games are as follows:

- Loge box: $85
- Right field box: $45
- Right field roof box: $45
- Infield grandstand: $45
- Outfield grandstand: $27
- Bleachers: $23
- Upper bleachers: $12
- Standing room: $20

Premium seating areas single game prices:

- Field box: $105
- State Street Pavilion Club: $158
- Home Plate Pavilion Club: $205
- Dugout box (canvas alley): $130
- Extended dugout box: $260
- Dugout box (infield): $312
- EMC Club $286
- Pavilion standing room: $25
- Green Monster seats: TBA
- Right field roof deck: TBA

All night games during the week at Fenway Park are scheduled as 7:05 p.m. starts in 2007.

For Saturday home games, the Red Sox have scheduled 1:05 p.m. starts in April and May and 7:05 p.m. contests for the final four months. All Sunday games at Fenway Park have been scheduled to begin at 2:05 p.m. The starting times for selected Saturday (FOX) and Sunday (ESPN) games may be changed once Major League Baseball’s national television schedule is announced.
