Boom!
OK, so I was wrong.
Apparently there are more than a few Red Sox fans in attendance. Wily Mo Pena just got a standing ovation from the crowd here after his soaring bash landed in the seats in left field for his third career grand slam.
It was his second homer of the season, hit on a 2-1 pitch, and it went 430 feet.
He was due, I guess. Pena, who has been subbing for the injured Coco Crisp, hadn't exactly been distinguishing himself at the plate or in the field. Over his last 25 at bats, Pena had struck out 14 times before striking back with the home run.
It's now 5-2, Sox.
