Early work

By Amalie Benjamin, Globe Staff

Because the elements were -- finally -- not a factor for the Sox, many of them took the opportunity to take some early hitting under the dome at the Rogers Centre. Julian Tavarez also threw earlier today, "just to take the edge off," manager Terry Francona said.

Meanwhile, Ino Guerrero, a member of the staff, was on the field during batting practice with a neon yellow glove. It's currently sitting on the turf by the first base line. It's bright, I'll give it that much.
