Going, gone...
Now THAT was why Wily Mo Pena got two consecutive starts.
Though Pena told me earlier today that he didn't feel comfortable with the bat yesterday in his first start of the season, he certainly looked comfortable up here in Canada.
Pena just sent a pitch so far that center fielder Vernon Wells took two steps back before simply looking up and watching it go. The ball went so far that it hit the top of the glass below the restaurant in center, just below the mammoth scoreboard. Not a wimpy shot.
