« Game delayed | Main | Francona optimistic about playing »

April 16, 2007

Greetings from Fenway

By Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff

I am not a weatherman, nor do I play one on TV. While I remain skeptical, I must admit there's optimism from weather folks and Sox personnel that this game can be played.

As you know the game has been pushed back to a noon scheduled start. Don't know about that, either.

The tarp is on the infield and grounds crew folks were just working on the warning track in right field. Now they've moved to the edge of the grass in left field where they seem to be adding a drying agent to make this safe and sound for Manny.

Terry Francona will speak to the media at about 9:30 a.m. and we'll have some of his comments later.
