Lester update

By Amalie Benjamin, Globe Staff

Jon Lester appears to have had an excellent day in Pawtucket today, at least judging from the numbers. Lester pitched five innings, giving up just three hits and striking six, while allowing no runs.

He threw 84 pitches, 56 strikes. He got up to 95 miles per hour on the radar gun.

And, on his very last pitch of the evening, reached 94 miles per hour.
