Okajima's memorable first pitch

By Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff

KANSAS CITY - Hideki Okajima will never forget his first major league pitch.

Home run, John Buck.

The Worcester Telegram's Bill Ballou informs us the last time a Sox pitcher allowed a home run to his first batter was Jeff Suppan on July 17, 1995 against the Royals' Keith Lockhart at Fenway.
