« Robertson out | Main | Dice-K pitches a complete game »

Dice-K really grounded

By Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff

Of the 24 outs Dice-K recorded over eight innings, 15 came on the ground.

It looks as though the Sox might go to Jonathan Papelbon to close the game in the ninth, though there must be a temptation to stay with Dice-K who is used to absorbing a lot of pitches. Through eight he's thrown 109 pitches, 76 for strikes. He did not allow a walk for the first time this season.
