Another 1-0 game!
CLEVELAND - If the last two nights aren't proof the Sox need offense, I'm not sure what is.
The Sox, 1-0 winners on Tuesday night, have bowed by the same score here to the Indians on Wednesday night. Fausto Carmona did them in last night with eight dominating innings while closer Joe Borowski finished the Sox off - striking out Coco Crisp and Dustin Pedroia and retiring David Ortiz on a weak pop up to third - to gain his 29th save.
Josh Beckett was the tough luck loser going eight strong innings and allowing only Franklin Gutierrez' third-inning home run.
We'll get some aswers on why Coco Crisp slowed down while trying to score the tying run in the sixth inning and why Manny Ramirez wasn't around to help Crisp along from the on-deck circle.
