Bedard out
By Daniel Malloy, Globe Correspondent
Reliever Rob Bell just trotted out for the seventh inning, relieving Erik Bedard after a solid start. The final line on Bedard: 6 innings pitched, 2 hits, 2 earned runs, 5 walks, 6 strikeouts, 1 hit batter. He threw 112 pitches, 65 for strikes.
Still 5-2 Orioles.
PS: Just thought I'd point out that the entire first page of the blog is entries from today. I'm not sure if that is a first in the illustrious history of Extra Bases, but it is a pretty cool testament to the prodigious blogging from a multitude of sources today. A round of applause is due.
