One pitch, one run for O's
By Daniel Malloy, Globe Correspondent
Josh Beckett grooved a fastball on the first pitch of the game to Orioles leadoff hitter Brian Roberts, who took it to right field for a home run. It barely made it out, as the ball bounced on the top of the wall and into the stands. It's Roberts' ninth home run of the season.
Beckett then set down the next three hitters in order. It's 1-0 Baltimore as we head to the bottom of the first.
