White Sox on board

By Gordon Edes, Globe Staff

Tim Wakefield held the White Sox to one hit, Juan Uribe's single on an 0-and-2 pitch in the third, and started a DP after walking Jim Thome in the fourth.

But the White Sox have broken through in the fifth. Jermaine Dye doubled to left, took third on an infield out, and scored on Josh Fields's base hit, Coco Crisp just missing a diving catch.
