Draft signings

Just in case everyone wasn't quite excited enough about the game against the Devil Rays that's about to start, I wanted to remind all of you that today is the deadline for 2007 draft signings.

I have a couple of updates for you.

Ryan Dent, the team's second pick in the draft (No. 62), has officially signed. Dent is a shortstop out of Woodrow Wilson High School in California. He appeared ready to sign when the team was in San Diego, but the deal was held up for about six weeks before getting done.

Hunter Morris, the team's third pick in the draft (No. 84, second round), will not be signing with the Sox. Morris is a high school third baseman from Alabama.
