It's a wrap: Beckett wins his 14th

Ichiro just grounded into a force play, making him 0 for 5 for the second straight game. He got the ball out of the infield just once in the last two days, lining out to left in the third today, and finished the weekend 1 for 14. Sox handled him this season; Ichiro went 5 for 36, a .138 average.
Jose Lopez just flied out to Pena in left to end it. Sox 9, M's 2. Josh Beckett is now 14-5 and joins C.C. Sabathia as the AL's only 14-game winners.
