NEW YORK - Rookie Joba Chamberlain just received a standing ovation from the 55,067 on hand here after he was ejected by home plate umpire Angel Hernandez for throwing two pitches over and behind Kevin Youkilis' head.

The Yanks are up 5-0 and Chamberlain, who retired the Sox in the 8th was going to finish the game. Hernandez apparently thought the two errant throws looked suspicious or purposeful on Chamberlain's part.

Youkilis had been involved in an interference call in the 7th, but that didn't seem to warrant getting two balls thrown toward his head.

Try to find out more later.
