More Carter stuff

ST. PETE - More information on Chris Carter, whom the Red Sox acquired today as the player to be named later in the Wily Mo Pena deal.
He was a straight-A student at DeLaSalle High in Concord, Calif. and did very well academically at Stanford.
He is a better first baseman than left fielder.
He had surgery to remove his hamate bone in his right hand last year.
Good power. Hit .301 with 19 homers and 97 homers at Tucson last year and appeared to repeat a similar season this year .324, 18-84 with 163 hits.
Does not have great speed.
