Yanks pile on
By Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff
NEW YORK - The Yankees have broken this wide open in the 8th.
Jason Varitek's throwing error ona double-steal by Bobby Abreu and A-Rod, allowed both runners to score. A-Rod, showing tremendous athleticism, scored all the way from first base.
Three runs are in. It's 5-0 Yanks. Kyle Snyder is replacing Hideki Okajima, who hasn't had a very good inning.
