Game over...finally

By Daniel Malloy, Globe Correspondent

Jonathan Papelbon -- betcha didn't think you'd see him tonight when the score was 10-1 way back when -- came on for a 1-2-3 ninth to end it, giving the Red Sox a 13-10 victory about four hours from when we began this evening. The AL East lead is now seven, thanks to the Yankees loss to the Mariners earlier today.

One more bit of news before we leave you: With the Triple A season ending today, Devern Hansack will be recalled tomorrow from Triple A Pawtucket. The 29-year-old righthander has a 3.61 ERA this year for the PawSox, with 131 strikeouts in 139 2/3 innings.

See you tomorrow.
