The Sox loaded them up with one out, but couldn't deliver, losing, 5-4.

Brandon Moss led off the inning with a double off the Wall. Joe Nathan then walked David Ortiz, and Mike Lowell moved 'em over with a groundout to first. Then Nathan intentionally walked JD Drew to bring up Jason Varitek, who had homered an inning earlier. Varitek worked a seven-pitch at bat, but struck out swinging. That brought up Kevin Youkilis, pinch-hitting for Bobby Kielty. Youkilis struck out on a check swing on a high fastball to end it.

The magic number stands at two, and we'll see you tomorrow afternoon for Dice-K vs Kevin Slowey.
