Dangerous hitters?

Posted by Amalie Benjamin, Globe Staff October 12, 2007 07:16 PM

Absolutely.

And Josh Beckett just found out the hard way, on a 94 mile per hour fastball. Travis Hafner, who came into the game 4-for-9 off Beckett with a home run, just hit another one off the Red Sox ace. It landed just beyond the Cleveland bullpen in right field to give the Indians a 1-0 lead.

Bobby Kielty looked, at first, like he was going to make the catch as he drifted back, but it was well out of his reach.

It came on a 1-0 pitch and was Hafner's second of the postseason.
