Despite two infield single to open the game -- by Jacoby Ellsbury and Dustin Pedroia -- the Red Sox weren't able to score in the first inning. Nothing from David Ortiz (strikeout swinging), Manny Ramirez (fly out to left), or Mike Lowell (fly out to center).

Ortiz, by the way, just walked out to first base for the bottom of the first inning. Looks a little odd to see him standing by the bag, instead of Kevin Youkilis.
