The game?

Posted by Amalie Benjamin, Globe Staff October 21, 2007 10:53 PM

That might have been the game right there.

With Kenny Lofton on third base -- having hesitated and been held up on third base on a single by Franklin Gutierrez right over the third base bag, a play on which he might have been able to score -- Casey Blake grounded to Mike Lowell, who started a 5-4-3 double play.

That got the Red Sox out of the inning with their lead still intact. You can bet that made Julio Lugo feel much better.

It's still 3-2, and Jake Westbrook is gone. Rafael Betancourt is now in for the Indians.
