Yankees threaten to close stadium to media

NEW YORK - Strange scene here at Yankee Stadium.

Yankee publicist Jason Zillo has threatened to close down media access at the Stadium if photographers and other media do not leave Joe Torre's property in Westchester County. Torre has asked the media not to descend on his home as he awaits his fate on whether he'll be dismissed or re-signed as the Yankee manager.

The Yankees were expected to make a decision within the next few days after the team was eliminated from the playoffs vs. the Indians.

Only a few Yankees have trickled in to tie up their belongings. Most of the big stars have not been here this morning or afternoon. General manager Brian Cashman has also not been seen.
