Pedroia, Okajima honored

Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia and pitcher Hideki Okajima were named to the 2007 Topps Major League Rookie All-Star team, according to a press release from the Red Sox.

Okajima was 2-2 with a 2.14 ERA in 55 appearances this season. Pedroia hit .317 with eight homers and 50 RBI in 139 games.

1B—James Loney, Los Angeles (NL)
2B—Dustin Pedroia, Boston
SS—Troy Tulowitski, Colorado
3B—Ryan Braun, Milwaukee
OF—Delmon Young, Tampa Bay
OF—Chris Young, Arizona
OF—Hunter Pence, Houston
C—Carlos Ruiz, Philadelphia
RHP—Brian Bannister, Kansas City
LHP—Hideki Okajima, Boston

Brian Daubach was the last Red Sox player selected, in 1999. The Red Sox had two players (Scott Hatteberg and Nomar Garciaparra) named to the team in 1997.
