Pedroia wins Rookie of the Year
Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia was today named the American League Rookie of the Year after a season in which he hit .317 with 8 homers and 50 RBIs.
Pedrioa is the first member of the Red Sox to win the award since Nomar Garciaparra got it in 1997.
Brewers third baseman Ryan Braun won the NL Rookie of the Year award.
