The Red Sox have offered salary arbitration to pitcher Eric Gagne, the team announced today. The team will not offer salary arbitration to pitcher Matt Clement, catcher Doug Mirabelli, infielders Royce Clayton and Eric Hinske and outfielder Bobby Kielty, according to a press release from the team.

Gagne has until December 7 to accept or decline the arbitration offer. The Sox retain the right to negotiate with or sign any of their free agents, regardless of whether arbitration was offered. There are no deadlines for such negotiations.
