Mirabelli deal done
The Red Sox today agreed to terms with catcher Doug Mirabelli on a one-year contract for the 2008 season.
The 37-year-old Mirabelli, who became a free agent after the 2007 season, will return for his eighth season with the Red Sox.
Serving primarily as Tim Wakefield's personal catcher, Mirabelli batted .202 with five home runs and 16 RBIs in 48 games with the Red Sox last season.
