APB for the BC third-base coach
Well, the bottom of the fifth has lasted roughly as long as the Sorrow and the Pity--where's President Bush with his standup comedy act when we need him?--and the score is 22-0, Sox, and they're still at the plate.
The Eagles have yet to advance a runner as far as third base, which calls into question why BC bothered to import a ringer as third-base coach. We've been trying to get a positive ID on the guy, but so far all we've been able to find out is that he was Ted Donato's roommate at Harvard and played hockey for the Crimson and plays an undefined role for Goldman Sachs, although one source says it has to do with balloon rides.
The Sox just went out, giving us a chance to confirm that the third-base coach is Scott Barringer, Harvard Class of '91, a special guest of the BC coaching staff.
In the meantime, the scheduled third hitter for BC in the top of the sixth is sophomore Sam Shaughnessy, the Newton North grad and son of a certain Boston Globe scribe. He'll be facing Manny Delcarmen.

is there any way to watch this game online or the northeastern game?!?!?!
This is a freakin disgrace. It's supposed to be a friendly exhibition but the Sox are bullying the BC kids. Boo on the Sox
Surprised Shaughnessy Jr didn't get beaed today...
I work at Goldman Sachs -- if you really want to find out who that Third Base coach was, let me know and I'll try to figure it out.
