BC injury

Posted by Amalie Benjamin, Globe Staff February 28, 2008 01:32 PM

We have a bit of a game delay here, as BC shortstop Garret Smith slipped on a double by Dustin Pedroia to left field. He has come out of the game.

Meanwhile, the Red Sox have opened the game up in the second inning, scoring six runs off Steven Cadoret, who came in to replace starter Ted Ratliff. That included three walks, an infield single by Bobby Kielty, doubles by Pedroia and David Ortiz, and a single by Brandon Moss. (Not in that order, of course.)

Ortiz came out of the game, replaced by George Kottaras.

This hasn't exactly been a good inning for BC.

  1. Nice to hear the bats are alive.
    Well wishes for Garret.
