Bartolo ColonFORT MYERS, Fla. -- Newly signed Red Sox pitcher Bartolo Colon (pictured) arrived at the Sox facilities in Fort Myers today at 12:05 p.m., driving a maroon Mercedes and carrying his gear in an Angels bag.

He is not planning to talk to the media today, but will address reporters tomorrow.

The Sox worked on cutoff drills and pop fly coverage during today's workout in Fort Myers.

The most interesting tidbit of the day came from Sox slugger David Ortiz. I was standing behind the backstop watching Clay Buchholz pitch, and Ortiz walked past me and joked, "What are you scouting now?" After he took some swings against Buchholz, I asked him what my Buchholz scouting report should say, and he responded, "Cy Young Award winner, one of these days."
