Manny has arrived

Manny Ramirez arrived at Sox camp in Fort Myers today, keeping his word that he would show up to spring training on time.

He arrived in a white Cadillac Escalade, stayed for about a half hour, and then left.

  1. Oh my God this is terrible. What is the media going to do if they can't write their annual "Where's Manny" story? And what will Theo and Francona do if they don't have to cover up for him. And what the heck will we fans do if all is well at camp.

  1. He still has that white escalade? He definitely had that in 2003 too.. we saw him and his entourage taking off down Yawkey way after the Sox sent the series back to Oakland in the ALDS

    When the Sox beat the A's that Sunday in 2003 to send the series back to Oakland the whole team got right on a bus to the airport. Manny had a light blue suit on and was honking the horn on the bus from the drivers seat.

  1. Is sad to think that the only drama coming from the Redsox is for a 41 year old blow hard pitcher ( you would have never gotten that from me had Theo kept me)and a CF who is about to lose his job to a rookie.

    And nothing like putting the rest of the division on notice in February, Manny is going to be back with a vengance this season.
