The total package, if the options are exercised, averages $4 million. Francona's salary doubles to $3.5 million next season, goes up to $3.75 million in 2010, and he reaches the $4 million level in 2011. Francona is guaranteed $11.25 million over the next three years, an average of $3.75 million. There is not a buyout, according to one industry source.
