Sunday morning thoughts

Posted by Amalie Benjamin, Globe Staff February 17, 2008 10:14 AM

OK, I promise not to talk about the weather. (It's perfect. Oops.)

But it's a normal day over here at the minor league complex, with the relievers getting their chance to throw bullpen sessions today. The starters threw theirs yesterday.

It looks like Josh Beckett might be talking today. If he does, we'll get you any notable comments.

Otherwise, we're headed into the sun, to watch some drills. Back later.

  1. It's a nice warm 38 degrees with a windchill of 31 here.

Does it get boring watching the drills?

  1. If you are looking for something to do in camp, why don't you interview some
of the people, who are the glue who hold the camp together? Glenn (Goose)
Gregson, did you know he walks the length of the "Grand Canyon"? Victor
Rodrigues, ask him about his two son's,with great baseball talent. Rob Leary,
is great with the players, what a fire ball. Felix Maldanado, I know he is not there
all the time, but if you are lucky enough to catch him,can he tell some
wonderful stories. Some minor league player are reporting the 20th. Check
out the big right hander, Richie Lentz, Univ. Wash.,was with the Drive last
    season,nice reliever. I saw Craig Shipley(Intl. Scouting),with some young
guests, who were they. Mike Hazen, what has he got up his sleeve??
