Wakefield is in the house

Posted by Gordon Edes, Globe Staff February 14, 2008 02:54 PM

Tim Wakefield, who missed the postseason because of pain in the back of his shoulder, arrived early this afternoon and came out on the field for a short game of catch. GM Theo Epstein said earlier today that Wakefield is healthy and should be ready to go.

  1. I have to follow the compliment-then-criticize formula here...

You guys do a great job, and I'm very happy this blog exists, especially during the season.

    But...

I've seen it written many times in the past few weeks that Tim Wakefield "missed the postseason."

He started and lost Game 4 of the ALCS.

I know it's awkward to write he missed the Division Series and the World Series, but that is what happened.
