Workin' it

Sorry for the delay, everyone. I was working on some larger pieces for later in the spring, which kept me away from my blogging duties today.

It was quite warm around the Fort today -- hotter than blazes, some might say -- so there were many red shirts that were a deeper, darker shade of red (and dripping) by the time the players came off the fields. The clubhouse emptied out very quickly this afternoon, since the players had to be at the golf tournament by 2 p.m.

Before I get to some more updates from today, I wanted to point everyone in the direction of the minor league player diaries. (This was the exciting announcement I referred to in the blog a few days ago.) Both Jed Lowrie and Justin Masterson agreed to do a weekly diary of their first spring training in big league camp.
