1-1 in the sixth

Posted by Gordon Edes, Globe Staff March 29, 2008 12:20 AM

Julio Lugo singled to tie the score in the Sox fifth. A terrific diving stop by first baseman James Loney took a hit away from Alex Cora and kept the Dodgers from having a big inning. Loney threw to second for the force and the Dodgers narrowly missed turning two.Dusty Brown struck out to end the inning.
Both starting pitchers are out of the game. Colon threw 60 pitches, 36 for strikes, in four innings. Dodger starter Chad Billingsley went five innings, allowing a run on three hits and striking out seven.
Play of the night was made by the Dodger Stadium EMT who performed the Heimlich manuever on a little girl who was sitting in the field boxes and evidently choking on food.

  1. It wasn't an EMT as i was sitting next to it all. It was a doctor who happened to be a few rows back who saved her.
