FORT MYERS, Fla. - Kind of a quiet morning here. Major League Baseball is holding its security meeting with the team right now. It's an annual meeting and very important to the players' well-being.

A few things:

*If you're wondering, during this "will he or won't he" go to Japan with the team after his start against the Jays next Wednesday, Daisuke Matsuzaka was present for the birth of his first child a couple of years ago. The birth was in December, however, during his off-season ....

* Jim Rice seems to be moving around a lot better after gimping about for a while after arthroscopic knee surgery. He denies there's a comeback on the way....

*Julio Lugo is back in the lineup after a respite with back woes. He's leading off today against the Reds. Here's the rest of the lineup:

SS- Lugo
1B-Youkilis
DH -David Ortiz
LF-Manny Ramirez
3B-Mike Lowell
RF-J.D. Drew
C Jason Varitek
2B-Dustin Pedroia
CF-Brandon Moss
P-Jon Lester

* Julian Tavarez informed me he is not a morning person.

* Jonathan Papelbon will attend the Ted Williams Museum dinner in Tampa on Tuesday night, which is an off-day for the Sox.

* Great seeing Dale Arnold, who will broadcast some Sox games for WEEI.

*We'll be back with more after Terry Francona addresses the media this morning.
