A's score first again

Posted by Amalie Benjamin, Globe Staff March 26, 2008 06:46 AM

Chris Denorfia got polite applause -- nothing like being the home crowd in a sea of Sox fans, though the A's seem to be used to that -- when he just rocked a single into right centerfield to score Bobby Crosby with the first run of the game.

Crosby, who doubled, came in to score, with Kurt Suzuki (walk) heading to third base. Denorfia then put the A's on the board with two outs in the inning.

But Lester got a called strike three on Travis Buck to end the inning.
