FORT MYERS, Fla - The Indians Sunday claimed LHP Craig Breslow off outright waivers from the Red Sox and added him to the 40-man roster.

Breslow, 27, has spent the last two seasons in the Red Sox organization, compiling a 2-3 record and a 4.06 ERA in 49 games (one start) last season at AAA Pawtucket (68.2 IP, 70 H, 31 ER, 6 HR, 25 BB, 73 K). He split the 2006 season between Pawtucket (7-1, 2.69 ERA, 39 G, 7 SV) and Boston, where he went 0-2 with a 3.75 ERA in 13 relief appearances (12.0 IP, 12 H, 5 R/ER, 0 HR, 6 BB, 12 K) for the Red Sox.

Breslow, who was out of options, was originally selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 26th round of the 2002 draft out of Yale. The Trumbull, Conn., native first appeared in the majors in 2005 at San Diego and owns a career major league record of 0-2 with a 2.86 ERA in 27 games with the Padres and Red Sox in 2005-06.

The Indians say he will report to the major league camp Monday.
